By the way, for you sticklers for accuracy in sports, that score, as we see from the original prints, having relied yesterday instead on someone's inaccurate historical report posted in the record books, was actually U.N.C. 23, the Piccolo-led upstarts of Wake Forest 14, off the Edge to Lacey All-American combination--which we ourselves witnessed several times...

October 29, 1962: Oakland Tribune, page 2, page 3, page 4, page 5, page 6, page 8, page 10 (on General Edwin Walker), and editorial; Newport Daily News (Newport, R.I.), page 4; The Lowell Sun, (Lowell, Mass.); The Light, (San Antonio, Tx.); Aiken Standard and Review, (Aiken, S.C.); Yuma Daily Sun, (Yuma, Az.); Reno Evening Gazette; Winona Daily News, (Winona, Minn.); Delta Democrat-Times, (Greenville, Miss.), and editorial page; Panama City Herald, (Panama City, Fla.); Marion Star, (Marion, Oh.), page 10, editorial; Gastonia Gazette, (Gastonia, N.C.), editorial; Gettysburg Times, page 10; and The Daily Gleaner, (Kingston, Jamaica).

And, just what might you glean from Mr. Nixon's comment, a couple of days back, that trading the missiles in Turkey, the "anchor of NATO", for those in Cuba would be a bad idea, akin to trading "a horse for a rabbit", and his analogy between the Eisenhower Adminstration's expert handling of Quemoy-Matsu during his tenure as V-P and that of the Cuban missile crisis, we cannot say. But, you might want to give it a little thought.

Also, here, and here. Time, we venture, moves in its varied complexities, slowing with rush and fret, hasting with sloth and contentment, shaping opinions, thoughts, goals, motivations, impelling thought and action to new goals, new adventures, as it goes; but, as often or more, also stands still, even moves backward, turned upside down again--yet always moving, changing, coming back round?
